Since I was a kid, I have know him as a Filipino Comedian, particularly a gay on pinoy movies. During those days I loved watching Captain Barbel, Facifica Falayfay, John en Marsha with aKa Pinoy Nida Blanca and aKa Pinoy Diamond Star Maricel Soriano and on ealy '90s Home Along da Riles. The movie Home Along Da Riles was a wholesome TV Series that will apeared on every Wednesday and I never wanted to missed even a single episode. Dolphy portrays as a father and mother to his children, a typical Filipino good father, who works hard for living and to give his children a better future by sending them to school in any cost. I really missed that movie.
Just to name a few those are big hits of Dolphy and other films like Markova: Comfort Gay with co stars Eric Quizion and Jeffrey Quizon both also are gays during Word War II that the Japanese invaded Philippines.
Home Alone Da Riber, a comedy-drama story of a father who was imprisoned for many years, and when he get out of jail he met this family but his two children didn't know that Upoy (Dolphy) was their real father. Later on that movie when Jolina Magdangal his daughter became a hit singer found out that his real father was Upoy. Drama came to this moment that I can't afford to stop my tears from flowing down as I watched the movie.
I also watched Da Best in Da West with aKa Pinoy Action Star Lito Lapid and aKa Pinoy Comedian Babalu. Dolphy's role was Sgt. John Paul Quisada with Lito Lapid as his partner and their superior was Babalu. Sgt Quisada likes the daughter (Agot Isidro) of Babalu, and Lito Lapid also like the daughter (G. Tongi) of Dolphy.
